Mark DeGross

Owner of 2Fast | WMRRA # 35, AMA # 135 | Lead Instructor, 2Fast Road Course Instructional School

Passion runs deep for 2Fast owner Mark DeGross and it shows in everything he throws himself into.  It’s a good thing his mother forwent the Ritalin prescribed by the pediatrician, otherwise Mark might be much less of an impact player than he has become.  With his boundless energy, over the last 8 years, and initially with the help of a business partner, he has grown 2Fast to include a staff of 60 people who together have put on events at 4 Northwest Tracks.  The enthusiasm and sincerity he exudes for motorcycles and life attracts the very best instructors and marshals, creating a cohesive team of people that are all here to help you with your experience at 2Fast.

Motorcycles have been a part of Mark’s life for as long as he can remember.  The track day and racing bug bit him early in 2001 when he first hit the track in Pahrump, Nevada at a Jason Pridmore school.  It was only a few month later he began racing in WMRRA and a mere 25 months later he was sitting on the AMA grid starting his first ever AMA race at Infineon.  Over the last 10 years Mark has competed in WMRRA, OMRRA, AFM, and AMA events at tracks all over the West Coast. With several class wins and many a podium finish, Mark’s roadracing experience has seen him compete against the likes of Jamie Hacking, Ben Bostrom, Miguel Duhamel and Tommy Hayden in the AMA 600SS & Formula Extreme series. A multi-time attendee of Jason Pridmore’s STAR schools, Mark has also attended several Freddie Spencer’s schools in Las Vegas as well as Mike Sullivan’s school here locally, being a sponge in the process and a true student of the sport. In short, Mark’s track day, school, racing experience and results provide him a wealth of experience to share with students to help them achieve their riding goals.  As the lead instructor of 2Fast’s road course schools, Mark’s has the unique ability of breaking down techniques into easily understandable, yet practical concepts that will propel your riding to the next level.  You will see him out on the track during several of the sessions instructing on his set of Hondas; a CBR600RR or CBR1000RR.  Don’t be shy about seeking his help, as one of the most upbeat and helpful guys you’ll ever meet, you’re guaranteed to come back from the session with a smile on your face and an improvement in your riding.

Mark also has a diverse background; while being the co-owner of a small aerial mapping business in Bothell, WA, few people know that Mark was also at one time a key special teams player for the University of Washington Huskies football team during the Don James era, and has a Rose Bowl ring to show for it. Additionally, Mark is one of the founding members of R.O.G.U.E., a nationally recognized Honda RC51 website resource you can find at www.rc51.org. Mark is considered by many to be an expert when it comes to Honda RC51’s.

Blessed with 3 children, his greatest joys in life are helping them succeed in all they do and sharing his zest for life with them.  D’Marco, M’Shaiya, & Michaelo will often tell you their Dad gets in more trouble at a water park than them, but the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and you can’t miss their playful spirit along with their huge smiles.

Mark also provides 1 on 1 personal instruction at non-2Fast events for those looking for intense training and wanting to cut their lap times dramatically. Please email him for more information regarding this personal training on the “Contact” page of the website.
